2021-2022 POLICIES & PROCEDURES
J&M Dance LLC
The following Policies and Procedures govern J&M Dance LLC (“the Studio”). The Studio may amend these Policies and Procedures from time to time by giving notice of the amendment at the Studio’s location. The Studio will provide a copy of any amended Policies and Procedures only upon the Undersigned’s request.
REGISTRATION FEES & TUITION:
June – July: Summer Classes
No registration fees.
Punch card classes, 6 week session classes, themed camps and any workshops must be paid for in full at the time of registration.
Tuition amounts are attached hereto and incorporated herein.
ALL TUITION PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
August 2021– May 2022: School Year Classes
$40.00 registration fee per student, or $60.00 fee per family, is due at the time of registration.
There are two (2) Semesters: Fall, August – December, and Spring, January – May.
The LAST month’s tuition in addition to the registration fee is due upon registration. Tuition amounts are attached hereto and incorporated herein.
ALL TUITION PAYMENTS AND REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
TUITION PAYMENT FOR ALL CLASSES:
Tuition must be paid by (1) automatic debit or credit card payment; or (2) cash or check by paying for the full Semester’s tuition at the time of registration for Fall Semester, and by January 10th for Spring Semester. Debit or credit card payments are not accepted for monthly in-person payment.
Tuition payments for School Year Classes are for 32 classes. In the Studio’s sole discretion, students may receive additional classes at no extra charge. The Studio’s schedule is set with more than 32 classes to allow some room for bad weather days or other circumstances out of our control.
If your debit or credit card is declined, you are responsible for providing a new card within five (5) days of receiving notice of the declined card. You will be charged a $25.00 fee for any checks returned to the Studio marked NSF. You will be charged a $15.00 late fee for any payments not received by the 10th day of the month the payment is due.
COSTUME & RECITAL FEES:
- Costume Fees pay for costume pieces, tights, and hair accessories. Costume Fees do not include shoes, undergarments or alterations. The Costume Fees are as follows:
- PreBallet & Mini Level Classes & Combo I: $80 per student per class
- Combo II & Leveled Classes: $88 per student per class
- All Hip Hop Classes: Additional $25 for recital hip hop shoes
- PrePrimary Classes: $144 per student; and
- Recital Fees:
- $70.00 per family.
For Students enrolled in School Year Classes, Costume Fees and Recital Fees for the recital are due by November 15th. If tuition is paid by automatic debit or credit card payment, the card on file will automatically be charged on November 15th. If tuition is paid by cash or check, payments of the costume and recital fees are due by November 15th to avoid a $15.00 late fee. AFTER NOVEMBER 15TH, ALL COSTUME AND RECITAL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
- $70.00 per family.
We assume all dancers ARE participating in the end of the year recital and will be auto charged the above fees, unless we are notified otherwise via our costume form.
This Section does not apply to private lessons or summer classes.
WITHDRAWING FROM THE STUDIO:
If you want to withdraw from the Studio mid-season, then you must complete and return to the Studio a withdrawal form a month in advance. At this time the last month’s payment you made at registration will be applied to the next month. To apply this payment towards your last month we must receive the withdrawal form at least 5 days prior to the next payment date. Example: You submit your withdrawal form on October 18. The last month’s payment you made at the time of registration will be applied toward November tuition and your dancer will be withdrawn and no longer in classes after November 30.
REFUNDS DUE TO CLASS CANCELLATIONS:
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR CLASSES CANCELED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER, ACTS OF GOD, OR OTHER EVENTS OUTSIDE OF THE STUDIO’S CONTROL UNLESS IT IS FACTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE STUDIO TO PROVIDE 32 CLASSES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR CLASSES SCHEDULE IN WHICH CASE A MAKEUP CLASS WILL BE PROVIDED.
The Studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes.
Regular attendance is required for students. In the sole discretion of the Director, students who miss too many classes may be required to make-up missed classes. Those students will be charged for each make-up class.
It is the parent’s responsibility to be aware of all school activities, closed dates, etc. Communications will primarily occur through emails and posted notices in the lobby of the Studio. Parents, or adult students, must inform the Studio of any address, email, or telephone number changes. Students cannot be dropped-off more than thirty (30) minutes before each class. Each student must be picked-up within thirty (30) minutes after each class. Young dancers should be picked up immediately following the release of class.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
The Undersigned, individually and on behalf of their minor children, heirs, representatives, and assigns, fully and irrevocably waive, release, and discharge the Studio, its officers, directors, members, managers, agents, representatives, and employees from and against any and all claims for personal injury, property damage, or any other claims, demands, and causes of action relating, in any way, to the actions performed during instruction and/or on the premises of the Studio.
The Undersigned, individually and on behalf of their minor children, represents that they are attending the instruction willingly and voluntarily, and will abide by all policies and procedures of the Studio as exist or may be amended.
The Studio, its officers, directors, members, managers, agents, representatives, and employees assume no responsibility for friends and/or family members accompanying a student. Furthermore, the Studio, its officers, directors, members, managers, agents, representatives, and employees assume no responsibility for protecting the property of any student, parent, family member, or friend.
The Studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs and/or videos of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials in the Studio’s sole discretion. The Undersigned hereby waives all right, title, and interest to any copyright, or other intellectual property rights that the Undersigned may have in such photographs, and grants the Studio all right, title, and interest to those photographs.
